Clean water lessons at Lyman Moore.

This month, the 7th grade science classes at Lyman Moore Middle School learned about water pollutants and how macroinvertebrates can be used to study water quality. Chris from the District brought water samples for the students to observe and macroinvertebrates to identify. These activities are helping students understand the importance of preserving Maine’s aquatic ecosystems.

These lessons are funded by the City of Portland through the Greener Neighborhoods Cleaner Streams program.
