Kids Search for Macroinvertebrates in Capisic Brook

Kids from Peaks Island summer camp put on waders and jumped into Capisic Brook to look for macroinvertebrates that were living in the water. Using their nets they collected species including scuds and dragonfly nymphs. The types of macroinvertebrates they found help to determine the health of the urban stream. The kids’ hard work was rewarded with some delicious ice cream!
