Are You a Storm Drain?

Storm drains and the underground piping network play a key role in the City’s infrastructure. They come in all shapes and sizes but they all function to direct stormwater away from areas that could easily flood to our nearby streams, rivers, ponds, lakes, wetlands, and bays. By moving stormwater runoff in pipes underground, it prevents flooding and makes it safer for us to walk and drive around. What kind of storm drains* do you have in your neighborhood?

*Creepy clowns (hopefully) not included.
