Deering High School Students Study Capisic Brook

If you were out enjoying the spring weather on Capisic Brook Trail, you might have seen students from Deering High School. With the help of the District, George Aponte Clarke and Jeff Burnap’s classes were measuring the water quality in Capisic Brook. The students measured the chemistry of the water including dissolved oxygen, phosphates, and nitrates. With waders on, they collected and observed macroinvertebrates that were living in the urban stream.
