Kids At Portland Summer Camps Are Protecting Our Water
Have you seen the new signs around Rowe Elementary, Talbot Community School, and East End Community School?
Kids from the City of Portland’s Camp Venture created the signs to help prevent water pollution in Capisic Brook and Casco Bay. After seeing a demonstration showing all the possible pollutants that can get into our water, the kids made the signs to help keep our water clean.
Be sure to check out their storm drain signs. They did an amazing job!
This activity is funded by the City of Portland through the Greener Neighborhoods Cleaner Streams program and led by the Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District in collaboration with City of Portland Parks and Recreation.
